It is difficult to make people understand what it is to suffer anxiety disorders when they are not going through that situation. This is such a feeling that you can’t avoid. It is just like a nightmare. With a little luck, it is possible to find an escape route that allows you to channel your state. For Jasmine Kate Blanchard, it’s photography. Jasmine is in her second year of photojournalism and documentaries. She has been experiencing anxiety since the age of 15. The attacks are usually accompanied by an accelerated beat, panic and pressure in the chest and throat.

In order to keep her anxiety under control, she performs techniques such as focusing on her breathing, talking to someone in moments of panic, and having positive thoughts.

“At first glance, I wanted people to find it beautiful, but intriguing. Then, by looking more closely, I would love for people to begin to understand how it feels to have an anxiety disorder.” She also wanted to raise awareness about mental healt. “I hope we can talk more and it was not something that frightened us so much,” Jasmine says.
